Music
Richard Slominsky , Music & Choir Director
The Spring Valley Baptist Church Choir, is a dedicated group of singers which serves an active role each week in our worship services preparing the heart for the Word of God. The Choir is accompanied by our Pianist, Judy Reeves. In addition to the weekly service, musicals, and special events, the Choir provides a unique opportunity for those desiring to serve the Lord in a musical capacity and experience the fellowship of a wonderful loving family of believers!
The Spring Valley Baptist Children's Choir enjoy's a fun-filled, value-packed adventure available EVERY WEEK to the children. With an investment of just one hour per week, on Wednesday evening, your children will learn musical skills and dramatic presentation, all chocked full of priceless spiritual principles that will impact their lives for eternity!
Sunday School

We have Sunday School classes for every age group, starting with our Nursery for bed babies, up through our adult classes. We have a Single Adult Class, Married Class, Men's Class, and a Women's Class.
Youth Department
We have approximately 10 active youth at Spring Valley and we have a lot of fun and we accomplish a lot of work also. We have fun outings, and mission projects. We have an annual retreat and learn more about God and ourselves.
Woman's Missionary Union

Is faithful to the work of the church and community and the world. We are faithful to God in providing missions education on the state, national and international levels. Please join us in learning about what God has planned for you in "missions!"
Girls in Action
Pauline Lewis, Director
Is a missions education class for girls in grades 1-6. The girls meet every Sunday evening at 5pm. They are very active in praying for, giving to missionaries and learn to "do" missions projects in the name of Christ, The girls become aware of God's love for them and for the needs of others. We are planning a 3 day trip to GA Camp at Lake Sallateeska on June 26-28th! For more info you may contact Pauline Lewis or Maralina Elliott.
Mission Friends

Is a missions education class for preschoolers age 3-kindergarten. Boys and girls learn about God and about becoming one of God's helpers. Mission Friends learn about how much God loves them and that He can be a part of their lives everyday. Mission Friends meet every Sunday evening at 5pm. Discipleship Training
Discipleship classes include Baptist Faith & Message, Experiencing God, and many others. There is something for everyone to grow and learn spriritually.
Brotherhood
Charlie Davis ,Director
The Men work with several ministries within the local area. We just finished "Warm-up for Jesus", where the men collected coats and brought them to the Christian Activity Center, located in East St Louis. Our next project is "Fans for Jesus", where we will collect fans and also donate them to people that have a need.
The Men have made a committment to get together on every Monday evening at 6pm to pray for the church and all special requests from the church members.
Women on Mission

This is a female adult organization meeting once a month for missions education, participating in ministry opportunities in the community, and praying for each other in a relaxed and casual setting in a fellow "sisters" home or at Spring Valley! Ladies age 18 and over are encouraged to attend! We usually meet on the first friday of each month. Come and join us for fellowship, ministry, witnessing, and personal growth!
